Well, I've been debating on either getting a ctr rep. wing or mugen rep. wing. I'm not in to cf at all so I was researching the price of a fiberglass m. wing first and found one online for a decent price. But the downside is that I have to find a place to have it painted. I called a local ab and p shop and I almost fell off my chair. I'm about to say screw the mugen and go for the ctr that I found on a couple of sites, where I can get the wing and have it painted before being shipped out for about the same price that it costs to have the m. one painted. I dont understand if on the ctr wing sites it says it's only ~$85 extra for the paint job.

I'm so glad I have a friend whos dad works at a paint shop and has his own paint shop at his house. He repainted my rear bumper for 100. He said he'd repaint my car a different color for 1500 or so.

I think $100-150 is the going price for paint. $250 should be paint and mount/install.

also depends on the shop cause that might include prep work and hrs of work on it, then install.

Actually, that would depend on the part you bought...

Post a want add for an OEM SSM HFP spoiler. They're urethane and will withstand more abuse without cracking. The fitment is also better.

250 is actually a decent price. Factor in all the prep work, buying the exact paint, prime, paint, clear... and multiple coats of each.

You want a cheap paintjob go to Maaco.... they'll take good care of you

$250 is about right for spoiler, i paid $400 to have my bumper repainted.

WOW! what is the deal guys. Everyone seems to be getting ripped off pretty hard core.
Pint or NHBP base coat = $40.00 only about 1/8 of it will be used.
Quart of Reducer = $20.00 only 1/16th of it will be used.
Gallon of clear coat = $120.00 only 1/40th of it will be used.

The paint i can see you paying for all of it since the shop doesn't want to pay for a paint it might never use again. But reducer and clear get used on every job.

I wouldn't pay any more the 200.00 to have one painted. and i bet you can get one paint for around $150-175.00. and then just put it on yourself. take it back to the shop after a week and it's fully cured and have them buff it out. Or not, most good painters get a good shine without buffing, but for show quality you have to wet sand and buff to get the layer of Oils out that form right under the surface of the clear.

Man i'm glad i know how to paint........ saves me some dough
