I'm rocking the Skunk2 right now, but once I get my 6th gear I'm getting the FD2-R knob. Sphere knob w/ OEM fitment and red lettering. Woo hoo.

It weighs 460 grams. (I could kill someone with this thing. lol)

The price is a bit steep, but it's on sale now for $99.00... I don't see the need to ever get a different knob for this car though.

wow that t1r knob looks really good

i've been rocking the skunk2 for about a week now, and have yet to miss or grind a gear, probably since its so damn heavy. before that i was rocking a razo 340gram spherical knob, which was also really nice

To be honest, Idk why people don't like the oem one. Black leather with red stitching matches perfect with the steering wheel and is comfortable in any weather. But if it started to wear from the top then I'd get a ctr shift boot with an rsx shift knob.

I had tried the Junk2 shift knob, it scratchs very easily(very soft anodizing). I really liked the heavy weight at 440grams so i looked around a found that the leather wrapped S2k knob weighs the same 440 grams and is far more comfortable to use especially in the winter and summer.

gah, all you guys with your heavy knobs!
I'm about to drill out my teflon knob and fill it with buck shot. Might rattle a bit though, like an egg shaker!

I heard the greddy counterweight shift knob weighs like 560 grams or something?
http://shop.edoperformance.com/images/greddy/GRcws.jpg
the nrg is supposedly fairly heavy as well http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/cr/crowderscustomizing/NRG_SK100T.jpg
but its a universal with a stupid allen screw that will ruin your threads =\

Base RSX knob with red gear numbers. sucks in the summer, but i also have the s2k knob which is awesome during winter or summer and weighs a considerable amount.

Skunk2...less effort shifting plus it looks like a DC5/EP3-CTR knob except with 5 gear etching on top

Skunk2 knob is perfect...like everyone else said, it's hot as hell in the summer and cold in the winter but the shifting effort is effortless.

Used to have a skunk2 knob, but that thing burns during the summer. so i got rid of it for a monster knob. i like it.

Is that the base rsx knob? Does it fit without modification to the OEM ep3 shift boot?

To be honest, Idk why people don't like the oem one. Black leather with red stitching matches perfect with the steering wheel and is comfortable in any weather. But if it started to wear from the top then I'd get a ctr shift boot with an rsx shift knob.

The OEM shift knob looks great but with a dash mounted shifter, it looks/feels "cock horse ish" if that makes any sense. If i had a RSX/GSR/Prelude/EM1 or any other Honda with a floor mounted shifter, id rock the OEM knob without hesitation.

For the EP3, my favorite knob is the T1R (ball) titanium knob. Its small and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, semi weighted at 182 grams so its not chicken nugget light nor paperweight heavy, just right. Also this knob "sits low" on the shifter due to its small size/deep threading/no neck design and the ti bling is sweet besides the fact the damn thing fades...but even faded i still like the way the knob looks. Heres a pic of the T1R:
http://www.aj-racing.com/catalog/files/products/images/t1r/interior/shiftknob.jpg

*I have a T1R in my EP and an extra one in my drawer (never used, i collect shift knobs) and its the best knob i ever used. I like ball style knobs (without a neck...just a ball) to begin with so i am partial, but the T1R is definately worth the mula.

Cow turned me onto Rick's Team VooDoo Black Magnum shift knobs, just about my favorite mod on my car. It lowers your shift throw making a short shift kit unnecessary. $45 + shipping

not really, i have a DIY type R boot, i just used the bottom collar off some shitty shift knob, turned it over and glued it to the stock boot. The stock boot would scratch the knob on the bottom unless you take on of the shifter bushings and stick it in the hole of the collar

I have the Buddy Club Type A. Lightweight, small and feels great.

I think the coolest shift knobs are one of a kind ones you make yourself though.
