Hey there , I'm running my car with 12.7 CR , with Wiseco forged pistons + toda head gasket etc.

I bought IPS K2 cams , RBC intake manifold with BDL 70mm TB ...

My question is , if I use the stock muffler with 70mm chrome mid pipe + DC Race headers , will I have major power losses? Now I'm using a HKS Carbon-Ti muffler but it's too damn loud...

I read somewhere here that stock muffler flows nice...

Will it cause me any problems ?

Thanks for the answers..

I'm using AEM CAI for intake...

You'll lose some power up top but gain sanity all thru the rev range. Main thing is...will the flanges match between the OEM and aftermarket parts. I took my OEM axle back and had a new flange put on it so I can use the aftermarket or OEM.

I would at least try to find an axle back that is around 60-65mm to get rid of that horrible bottle neck action. Going from a 70mm midpipe to a stock axle back is kind of pointless....

I thought the stock muffler flows well for up to 250 hp or something. I think you should be ok. You might notice a small loss up top but the midrange will improve. It's gonna sound like crap though. Very raspy.

I'm gonna use HKS for racing , but for daily drive I'll use my stock muffler ...

My question is : " will the stock muffler cause some damage to my engine?"
