So I got this 03 type-s trans and would like some advise on the easiest way to install it, with as little headaches as possible. Thank you soo much in advance.

get the manual, read it, then read it again, then read it again to make sure you understand it, then take your time.

make sure to take the starter bolts out, otherwise it will not come out. a friend and i did a clutch swap and we could not figure out why the tranny was not coming out, and it was the freaking long arse starter bolts.

depending on how patient you are will determine on how big the headache is.

Well I would say I am patient till that surpasses me then I get angry at stupid stuff and end up making it harder than it is. Is there a way to wire a reverse lockout to a separate switch?

use davidj's guide thats the easyest way, i did it with 2 jack stands and jack and some steel wire. i had a friend lift the tranny through the engine bay with the wire while i lined it up and put a bolt in thats how i did it atleast lol

There really is not "easy" way to do it. If you want "easy" then pay a shop to do the work, or else get ready for some busted up hands and lots of potty mouth.

Yeah thank you. I think I'm gonna try the phantom grip lsd block thing. Unless I can find a reputable lsd for a little more than that.

I got it as a rebuilt unit no miles for 500 bucks. So needless to say I will be selling my freshly rebuilt five speed.
