SOO i put my car on the lift at work to do my oil change and rotate tires, ok, i go to shake the front end down to check for the usual tie-rod, balljoint, etc. To find both wheels move side to side, driver side more, WTF? OK so upon further inspection, when you shake it side to side, you can watch the strut move around up top, sweet, d-specs and sportlines coming soon

i read this 6 times and i don't understand what u are saying.

is there something that shouldn't be moving when you do something? i think struts are supposed to move up and down.

Maybe hes talking about between the strut shaft and body..mine does that when its on the stands. BUT im still rocking the factory struts with 120k so the bushing in the body is prolly wore.

When you shake the wheel side to side like ur checking for a bad tie-rod, you can watch the strut move around inside the mount, causing the whole assembly to move
