ok so i tryed to fit my big brake kit today and the caliper is coming in contact with the rim. not on the top as i thought it would, but the side hits the rim. its very close to fitting so i was wondering would i be able to use a .125in spacer on the front wheels to make it fit? or would it throw it off not having spacers in the back?

i just bought my new rims and tires i dont intend to get bigger rims to make this fit. the rims are 16's and the tires are 225/50/16 and barely fit in the wheel well but there is some space in the front but the rear has less then .25in of clearance but they dont rub

whats your offset?
a spacer could work, although I would put them on the front and rear, probably not because you need to but because of the look and possible handling characteristics.

go with +22 offset it should fit

i wouldnt think you could notice much of a difference between front and rear at .125 (1/8th) of an inch

my offset is 38, if i had the time i would pull my rim off at work and use the CMC to figure out interior dimentions of the rim so i would know how much space i need but id have to do it at night and off the clock so i dont see that happening any time soon

i justa to know what brand brakes you got thats all... you can fix the problem with spacers but they you need to roll the fenders to the tires can clear the fender

im gonna ask some stupid questions just cause im an idiot and I wanna clear some things out of my head so i can try to figure out why the heck thats happening to you.
was the caliper upside down, backwards, etc etc, was it still pushed open in anyway from putting the brake pads in or anything like that.
Was everything fully bolted, was the rotor completely flush with the hub, were the knuckles and everything fully bolted, or possibly upside down or did you possibly use some sort of bracket from the Right side on the left side(not sure if they have to go a certain way or anything, alot of these parts could easily be confused cause usually aftermarket parts are like obscure pieces of metal with holes that you have to figure out)
If none of those things are the case, and everything was completely attached 100 percent as it should be then get spacers.
What kind of wheels do you have? Nvm i'll look around i can probably find it.

alright, you've got the konig c sharps
It looks to me that the spokes stick Straight out from the flat surface you mount it to, in which case all you would need to do is measure the distance from the mounting surface on the rotor to the distance of the caliper, depth wise that is.
for example ---------== say the dashes are the rotor and just pretend that they are flush with the mounting surface on the rotor, and the equals are the caliper on the rotor, measure how much further out the caliper sticks out than the mounting surface. If you're spokes stick out straight, you will need a spacer of that exact size.
If you're wheels do not stick out, measure the distance between the wheels mounting suface and the part where the caliper hits and subtract that from the first number and thats the spacer size you need

that might not make sense so if you're confused i can elaborate, or you could just come up with some other way of figuring it out thats not so confusing.

No

No

The brackets are universal. i had the rotor on and caliper bolted so i got the right space from the hub to the wheel.

What kind of wheels do you have?
Konig c-sharp, 225/50/16 tires

more then anything i just want to be sure its not going to throw my handleing off

Widthening the distance you're wheels are apart would in theory make your handling better, the wider the stance the less roll and stuff.
Doing it just in the front if its not drastic probably wont matter, Im not gonna say for sure because theres a chance you would induce a very small amount of oversteer or understeer, probably oversteer and probably not that much.

That's righteous, 125 mm?
Let us know if it fixes the problem

Fico

125mm would be almost 5 inches lol, its .125in or 1/8th of an inch

12.19inch 4 pot dynalite calipers, if your interested in the kit, it was 670 new from summit pm me an offer, it has the rotors(drilled and sloted) pads calipers brackets and the only thing i lost were a couple washers you can get at the hardware store.
