The yellow is the plastic substrate. take the brake handle apart and soak the knob in ammonia and the rest of the chrome plating will come right off, this is the mechanism that caused the chrome to come off in the first place(the ammonia excreted thru the skin and from not washing after pissing, easy to tell the dirty people...LOL). Then rinse in running clear water for 10 minutes, dry, prime and paint.

wait, so you're not supposed to pee directly on your hands to wash them?

I just figured it was warm so...

haha. I just made myself giggle.

I had a vision of me leaning slightly forward and down and wringing my hands out in my own pee stream.

Erase, erase, erase

That is a bad visual ! ! !

Many people are guilty of the good old "splash and dash"

Anyone who built any plastic model kits for a hobby knows that you remove chrome from plastic by soaking in ammonia....
