Well, I have konis and ground controls.....but I an running the rsx koni set(better valveing in the rear) and I am running custom spring rates in the ground controles....Note: your spring rates should be decided by you tires.

Love them but it is just another tool for tuning your suspension. I have spent close to a grand on picking springs.

What do you meen spring rate decided by my tires? And does the rsx koni set is bolt on for the ep3?

the ft is no issue, the rear you need to grind about 3mm off the lower shock mount......

If you run stickie tires, you need stiffer springs. The tires that come stock on the ep are hard as a rock but they will last 60,000 miles....for tires like these, 370lb ft and 515lb reat are great. If you go to wider and more grippy tires, then think about some hing like 400-440lb ft and 650-700lb rear.....but if you are going to use R compound tires, think about 515-550lb ft and 850-1000lb rear.....for the fronts at over 500lb springs, you will want to get the shocks revalved...

Spring are there to hold the car up. If you are running tires that are only good to about .78 gees on a skid pad, you do not need that stiff a spring....if you are running racing slicks that will hold over a gee, then you need stiff springs to hold this car off its bump stops.

I hace decided to buy the koni yellow kit and the ground control kit + ITR front sway bar , Mugen 27 mm rear sway bar + camber ( front /rear) and adjustable tie rod. But for the spring I dont know, i have think about progressive spring. I will do weekend trak day, auto x and Daily drive.

Any suggestion?

Any suggestion?

1) if you want ground controls with custom rates....order them direct.....
2) itr ft sway is the same dia as stock and it will not fit without the itr lca....the type-r lca have different sway bar mounting points.

I am running 2003 em3 front sway....It is 15.9 mm and hollow.....for ff cars, you want smaller sways in the front and larger sways in the rear....sways make your independant suspension less independant....the bigger the sway, the less independant the suspension.

I'd leave the swaybars alone and work on tuning with the springs. I'm guessing you will be running street tires so call Ground Control and get 440 up front and 650 or 700 in the rear. As Mustclime mentions, get the RSX rear shocks.

If you go over 500lb in the ft, you should the revalved...the rsx rears are good for 900lb ish

fyi....500 lbs in the front is no joke stiff

Ok, the rsx rear koni's are valved better because the rsx has a much more aggressive stock set up.....

as for getting konis revalved or rebiult( something that can not be done with most coilovers) can be done by koni appoved shops like True Choice.....I bought mine through them so I could get It done right the first time....ask for phil

Be warned! This takes time, It took 6 weeks to get mine this spring....you see every racer wants their shocks done douring racing season....so fall or winter is better to do it.

Again.....I ran 515lb springs in the front and 850lb in the rear with falken 452's...this set up was to stiff for that tire. Unless you are running super stickie tires, I suggest you go a little lighter on the spring rates.

True Choice wants 110 a sock to revalve a shock...a new set revalved of front costed 600.

^ do you ever have nightmares where your trapped on a never ending circle forced to go as fast as you can round and round and round and during the 500 laps around this tiny circle you have epiphany's and wake up brilliantly intelligent?
