Is This A Bad Idea?

Well if i get this 03 si this week(which is about 90% rght now) im gonna swap my setup from my lex to the si. Im gonna be throwin im my flip-out DVD but i also wanna put in my 15" kicker solobaric L7 which is running 1ohm at 1200 watts RMS. The box woud take up the whole hatch which i really dont care about but will this sub blow the car apart? It hits EXTREMELY hard and now that its in an open hatch it might just be too insane.

I used to have 2 15 L7's and 2400 watts rms. makes some stuff rattle but doesnt damage the car. After that I had just a single one in a 5.5 cuft ported box that took up the whole trunk and 1600 wrms on it and no issues either. go for it.

There is nothing to worry about man, if anything itll sound better in the ep3. Just lower the Frequency a bit and itll sound pretty good. There is no way you can harm a car with only that much power. Iv ran 2 Alpine Type X 12'' in my old CL and it didnt harm a thing on that car, I dont see how it damaged your Lexus.

lol i have 1 12 inch mmats jugernaught or how ever u spell it in my ep hitting 150.8db with a power aqustic 3000 wat amp lol and my front window looks like its gona bounce off so does sun roof ill take pixs later hopefully i will have car ready for next db drag going outhere to bring back something atleast for hatch

Hell yes this is a retarded IDEA:
1. You pretty much made your hatch worthless.
2. You made it slower
3. You hurt your mileage.
4. You hurt your handling
5. Quality over Quanity (which equates to) Sound Quality > Loudness
6. Loud systems just make you deaf and bother people who dont want to hear your crappy taste in music.

Perillio was using 8 or 9 T3 Audio 15's last ime I saw it. The T3 group is known for using a HUGE amount of subs in their installs. 30 10's is pretty common for the bassrace division. Astro's are very common as well.

Wrong.

The smallest classes in dB Drag are doing 154's. Nothing happens to the human ear at that level.

In the Superstreet division you are not allowed to modify ANYTHING inside the cabin in front of the B-pillar. Around the 165dB range it's pretty common to break welds on the firewall. It happened to 2 competitiors at Finals in 06.

Brad Figard, who is a VERY well known street veteran, broke the upper rear hatch hinges on his crx. Keep in mind, he's been using the same crx for over 5 years and it has seen stress that in NO WAY could have been predicted. It took years of vibration and abuse for it to go bad.
