this APPEARS to be newish in design:

this appears to be the one everyone generally refers to:

they are both one peice, with a flex pipe, not the old 2 peice design, the more common one (second picture) has 1-2 3-4 pairing and the other one has 1-4 2-3 pairing. I know there was an update at somepoint and I was wondering which is newer and which would likely be better for power delivery in the 4000-7500rpm range.

I've never heard anything about DC Sports changing the pairings. Keep in mind that many parts dealers just use a generic picture for their product listings, so odds are that first photo isn't an EP (or RSX) header.

yeah thats not an ep3 header
look at the angle on the cat mounting location
its straight
the one for our car needs to be angled
also I think that the dc is a 4-1 header not a 4-2-1
