i cant get enough of these cars....

we had a 90 ef - loved it, but had to let it go... stubby has it now.

now we picked up a SCHWEET 91 ef Si -- i have been squirming in my skin waiting to bring this baby home... here she is!!

she needs a little tlc but she is a great beater!

we got some rust to take care of, and the rear drums need replacing.... oh and we had to put in a new distributor... but she runs great!

immediate issues are the radio (or lack of) and the a/c just died...or is low on freon.

we just bought it today. we were told about it 2 weeks ago and its been killin me to get it here. freakin mva wait for tags was 15 min. -- it was meant to be.

its gonna need some tlc, but for 170K miles - its awsome!

we paid about a grand for everything, the car, taxes, tags, title, inspection and the distributer it needed. lol

and yeah, we heard the price and that convinced both of us.

I would take the seats out and the carpet and wipe down the interior completely. Take the carpet up to the local car wash, hang that shit up like floor mats and spray it out so it would be good and clean. You KNOW someone spilled a Big Gulp or Slurpee in that biatch at least once! :mcry:

Screw whats under the wheel cover... drop in a NRG hub and wheel of choice. No airbag. Do it. :photo:

well... not sure on the shape part. it has alot of rust on her. the sunroof will need to be replaced most likely and i noticed on the rear bumper yesterday while putting the tags on .... that under the bumper where the rebar is, its rusted pretty bad.

we gotta do an assesment once we wash her up and get her on a lift. we dont mind doing the work gradually and using a little homemade elbow grease. these models go for 1200-1400 around our way just for the car... so i think we got a pretty good deal.

Well, It's our Daily Beater for now. But, in a few years we hand the keys over to our son and see what he does with it.

for now, its a beater.... but we have an a3 motor that might fall into it by accident.... but thats down the road. then later... another k motor. :mconfused: ... bigger.

we have to really clean her up, and see what needs done. we already know the rear drums and brakes need to be replaced soon. it has no radio, a/c needs recharged, and the clutch pedal sticks right at the engagement of the clutch, so 1st gear can be jerky. lol

oh and the shifter ... i have never seen anything so loose in my life! you can shake it like its in neutral, while in gear and driving... not sure what thats about. the tranny is strong though... i was pushin her today!

there is some smoke, but its black... so i am not terribly worried about that... if it were white or blue then that would be another story.
