This thread isn't supposed to be about the difference between the Recaros that cam in the different years of EP3's but the difference between DC2, EK9, DC5 and EP3 Recaros. I know the rails will be different but lets post up the other differences. Will switching the rails on a EK9 set work in an EP3?

that should work. i believe the recaros were the same in the ek and the dc. the ep ones are almost the same as the dc5 ones, its just that the ep ones have adjustable leg thing. i also think the dc5 side bolsters are a little bit bigger than the ep ones as well

Those are what i would consider to be overpriced. At that price ur starting to get into new Bride price range.

so far I liked the EK9 Reraco SRDs the best!

Super comfortable, but super heavy!

$1600 is expensive.... I'm pretty sure that gets pretty close to the price to buy those EP3-R seats brand new from Recaro.

Going price for good used ones seems to be $1200 or so.

if DC5 Recarcos have the same rails as OEM DC5 (RSX-S) seats, then you dont need new rails. Three of the four holes will fit without mods, the 4th (inside rear holes) require a 1" spacer, a longer bolt and some slight enlargement of the stock hole.
