Put the RSX type s head (K20A2) on the K24A1 block. Thats the way to frankenstein these mothers. Also that way you dont have to deal with any coolant port mods like on the K24A2 head.

You're better off with a k20a2 or k20z3 head from what I've heard.

this is true. and i dont know why. but i really hate when people say they want this or that cause of real vtec. if i could i would have a k24a1 block with the k20a2 head. and no vtec sound at all. but anyways. go k20 head not k24.

well the stock type-s head has more flow than the stock tsx heads, BUT
the tsx has more meat to play around with thus having more flow in the end.

They prob mean you can bore it out because it has thicker walls (aka "meat"). Don't know for sure though.

I've seen a chart that shows the k24a1 head flowing better than a k20a2. That doesn't mean you'll get more hp.

ya thats wat i meant. figured i say more meat cuz itll shorten down the typing time but i guess not.

well the k20a2 head makes more due to top end wise thats pretty much it.

K24a1 longblock= 1300 shipped

k24a2 longblock= 2750-2850 shipped

I've been selling these for a while. Becoming a full time official vendor next week, so just spreading the word.:mcool: Motors have a 90 warranty and are shipped with full insurance.

i dont know if the tsx head flows the same but i doubt it would acctualy be that different. im going to use the tsx block and head just because i got it on the cheap (600bux) what are you actualy planning with this engine? boost or n/a? if your going boost on the stock engine a1 is the best bet, but if your going to build a block id go with the cheaper a4.

the complete dream is to have a k24 bottom end with a head of sorts i was figuring the tsx because it will match the lower compression pistons that i would be using and in the future i'd be adding a jackson supercharger

The tsx head does not flow as good as the a1 or a2 head but it does have much better camshafts for a low rev tq monster. It doesn't have a full cam angle like the a2 head though...this can be modified so you can get a 45 degree angle with a little machining work.
