Donating Membership - What do you want with yours?

i donno if they already have this, but an increased PM box size would be nice, im always having to empty mine out, if this exsists or is implemented I will do that thing, donate or whatever, and give you guys money.

no the donating membership will be the premium membership... its going to be kinda like the old platinum membership, but alot better! :mbiggrin:

I know when I was a donating member I thought a one time, one use coupon to a vendor for a small percentage(5% to 10%) off would have kicked ass. It would have been hard to get the vendors to do it though. For that reason, I never voiced it.

oh, just an idea, but maybe premies can have two post counts. one for normal posts, like we have now and another for total posts, which includes off topic. i know it sounds stupid, but i always think its funny how somepeople will have like 40 posts and 700 total posts in the off topic section.
plus it would just be funny to see some of the rediculous numbers.

also i know this idea is already in use at clubrsx, but repping is kinda cool. of course we need strict rules about "let the neg bombing commence on TS in 5...4...3..."

IDK i will add more if i think of them.


edit: another idea...maybe oogy could offer a different sticker design or a two tone sticker for the premies...

ok ok. i like the idea in theory, but seeing it in action makes me hate people even more. if only it could be controled, it would be such a nice thing. it shows expertise and experience if used right. but people abuse it and it turns into a popularity contest, pretty much highschool ranking system.

thats the reason we dropped it... because it was so childish and overy abused.

the only way it would be able to be controlled would be too much for the staff... its just not worth it.

these two are great suggestions, but one that will have to be looked into. i dont want to overload the server because there are a buncha happy clickers online all at once.... with 3 windows open to search 3 different things at once. :mredface::mangel:

but yeah, we will definatly consider it, but only if it doesnt risk anything like site performance.

That explains why I posted in one thread and ended up in another. I thought I was tripping. Anyway, here's what I wrote (lucky I copied the whole thing).

If someone had 5 positive itraders before they met the classified post requirement, then those itrades would all have to be from them buying parts from someone else. I'm not saying that means they're worthless, this sounds like it could be worked into a good idea, just something to think about (it's a lot easier to scam someone when you're the seller).

Mary, there is a way to block duplicate sessions from users.

duplicate sessions? meaning multiple windows and searches going?

if thats what you meant, then no, to my knowledge, there is no block for that if multiple windows are open (i usually have 3 going of ephatch and 1 on fgcoupe going at once nightly :mangel:)

yeah, the avatar turn off feature is great (i use it at work) and its already in your user cp.

How about the ability to have multiple settings for viewing?

As an example I would like to have sigs and avatars turned off when I'm at work and on when I'm at home. Matter of fact I do that sometimes, but would be nice to have the system do it for me. (boy talk about lazy.:mconfused:)

I also agree that there are too many smilies. It kind of gets old after awhile.

thank you to everyone that posted their ideas and suggestions. we are well underway in getting a new and better membership out there to you guys!

we have already started making a few changes, and this includes a special section to "Site Sponsors" in the classifieds section for special deals, sales, and group buys from our vendors.

once everything is completed we will be having a special deal on the "site sponsor membership" - but it will be limited so keep an eye out!
