The 03 im pickin up friday has a really shitty cannon on it so that will have to go pretty quick. Im lookin to spend around 400 bills on a catback. I do not want a ricey sound at all. I was lookin at the Megan racing drift spec but thats prolly loud as shit wit the N1 muffler. Im thinkin Apex WS2....what are your suggestions?

The only downside to the WS2 is the midpipe isn't stainless.

There is no "best" exhaust-- it's all to one's preference.

In my opinion, unless you're doing a serious build (be it naturally aspirated or forced induction), an exhaust is really a waste.

I have the HKS Hi-Power and it sounds awesome. It doesnt sound ricey at all and it comes with a silencer so you can make it softer if you please. I have the DCRH with it too and have no complaints!

My favorite exhaust is the HKS Hi-Power. I always got compliments on it, it was only loud when I really got on it, looked bad a$$ and well, it's secksy.

Megan axle back w/ their midpipe
Apexi WS2
Greddy SP2
Borla
Nuespeed

All of them has the large oval canisters, so they will have a stock appearance and are quiet exhaust systems, but the borla and nuespeed are not in production anymore.

Mugen twin loop? lol

I have the HKS too...you can check with our vendors here for a good price...

but before looking at any exhaust, you should go on youtube and listen to all the exhaust tones...and keep in mind what are you aiming for...dd? track? n/a? turbo?

HKS looks too generic IMO

Spoon N1 looks pretty good and doesnt catch as much attention from the cops (other than the noise). You may need the silencer as it is one of the louder ones.

Toda catback is real nice too.

+1 for an HKS Hi-Power. I just got one from another ephatch member and I LOVE it :msmooch::msmooch:. It's got a deeper tone, and doesn't drone very much unless you're on the gas pedal just right.

All those fart can exhausts are way too loud, just have a loop muffler welded onto your present catback for far less and will sound awesome with no loss in topend power, with huge gains in torque.

hks is nice for just bolt-ons...but its tooooo small. the piping is tiny....looks decent but not good for serious modding. i have been thru 10 exhausts on my ep lol.....i loved my t1r 63mm, but i now i have the buddy club pro-spec. it meets up to my bcrh and i love it. a lil loud, but sounds NICE!!! and the buddy club pro-spec is pretty cheap too. $445 shipped from showstoppersusa
