So I sort of bypassed this section and posted directly in the general discussion. I apologize. Anyhow, my name is Matt and I'm new to the site. I'm 29, will be 30 in a couple of months and am in the market for an EP. I'm married and have a bunch of dogs. Don't really want kids so I just keep getting more dogs.

More on the kids...

My oldest is a 3 year old Doberman named Blitzen VonPoopsmore. She's about as emo as they come. If she had thumbs I would have to hide razors. She was the runt of the litter, and it still shows. She sometimes cries herself to sleep at night while suckling on her blanket.

Next up we have my wife's dog. She's a 2 year old American Bulldog named Zora. We call her Chunky Butt, and Zorasaurusrex. She's a brute, heart of gold but it takes her a while to show it.

And last but not least we have Gigabyte aka Schmoop. She's a Boston Terrier who is almost a year. Little shyte is tough as nails.

So that's the family... Now onto the guy behind the keyboard. I'm currently a fulltime locksmith. I have been picking locks for about a year now. It's not bad, but like anything I wouldn't mind making more money. Prior to locksmithing I worked for Piper Aircraft for 8 years. I was a Senior Upholsterer, and really enjoyed my job. Unfortunately my attitude at the time exceeded my skill level so I was let go.

Now to the fun stuff. Cars. I've owned over 20 cars (and counting). My first car was a 1964 VW Beetle, after that it was a blur for a while. A had a Toyota Tercel that I riced out, and finally ended up with a 200sx se-r. I spent entirely too much money on it and ended up selling it at the right time. After that I started jumping from car to car again dipping into LS1's and ended up wrapping a WS.6 around a tree. Ever since that car I haven't been able to keep a car for more than a few months. I had a Jeep Cherokee that I really liked and am ultimately looking to replace it with the EP now.

So I think that sums it up for now, thanks to those that actually read this far. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Seems like a good group of guys here so I'm stoked to be a part of the forum.

I forgot to mention one of my other passions. Tattoos. I've been trying to complete my left sleeve for about a year now. If only I could win the lotto I'd be set. Here's some photo's of the progression thus far. I'm going for an old school hot rod theme :mcool:

Your TA's are hot!

Thanks, I'm actually attempting to sell the blue one now to get the EP. They're amazing cars, I just need something more economical. The silver one ended up in a tree when I was intoxicated. That was a tough life lesson, but a learning experience nonetheless.

Glad you did learn your lesson.

EP's are fun, but there's nothing like a true sports car. I miss my EP3 for the economy, but I wouldn't trade RWD & torque for it.

Yeah TQ and RWD make a wonderful combo. Unfortunately dedicated sports cars fall short in the useful category for daily usage. One day I'll build a nasty hot rod for giggles but until then I need something reliable that can get me anywhere, anytime, without killing me on fuel.

My Z admittedly sucks for daily driving, but I'm at that point where I don't need too much practicality.

You've had some really cool cars!

I wouldn't trade my Boston for any other small breed. She's actually here laying with me as I type this. She's awesome, great with people, and tough enough to play with the big dogs. She's a huge lover, and is amazingly fast. I've been around Min-Pin's and they all seem to have that Napoleon complex. Mean little suckers. The Boston Terrier was actually designed as a fighting dog for the upper class way back in the day. Suckers are tough.

As for the cars, I've owned quite a few. Probably more Nissans than anything. I still moderate a Nissan forum even. I ended up giving up on the fwd SR vehicles because I broke so many trannies. S chassis cars are fun, they're just a dime a dozen. Maxima's are nice (had one), and Altima's aren't too bad (had one). As far as domestics go I'm admittedly biased towards GM products. I have some friends with SICK cars that don't help.

I figure a nice hatch would be a nice change of pace, plus good resale doesn't hurt in the long run either.

I'm Nissan-biased too, obviously.

In other news, it's amusing that an intelligently-written 'newbie' thread has so few replies, but any thread with a girl gets 100 or more.

Hey Matt! Welcome to ephatch. I have a question though, my girlfriend and I are looking for a dog to buy in the near future but I want to do a little bit of homework on a dog before I just go out and buy one.. My two ideas were a Boxer or a Doberman. If your Doberman is an indoor dog, was it hard to train?? If not, is it an overall easy dog to train for anything else.. suchas cute little tricks or just overall obedient?? I'd go for a bulldog, especially me being from Georgia but I can't deal with the slobber all over my clothes. Good looking pets and 200SX and TA's.

My Doberman is mainly an inside dog. We have a large yard which she gets to run when she wants but she prefers it inside. She was a bit stubborn at first but I think it was due to my roomate owning my dog's brother. After I moved out she was easier to train, and has been GREAT ever since. She is completely obedience trained now.

My Doberman has been the most loyal dog I have ever known. She is great around other dogs, my wife, kids, cats, etc. The ONLY thing that makes some people uneasy is her staring. She loves people so much she stares wanting attention. She comes up and rests her head on my shoulder and just sits there. She's actually sitting next to me on the couch now and has a paw on my lap.

I would recommend a Doberman to anyone. People seem to be scared of them at times because of movies but my Doberman has gotten her ass kicked by every other dog at the house. She doesn't like violence, and would rather cuddle. lol

Lmfao. Idk why but that cracked me up.
My old lady is wanting a teacup chiuahauha or some tiny embarassment dog but if she gets that I'ma get a 80-110lbs dog to get rid of it for me in a couple of years.

I want something great with people, (and kids when I have them in about 10 years) cause I have people over all the time but a dog that's protective of the family at the same time, u know? Anyway good feedback, I appreciate it man!
