these are what my header bolts or studs look like:

and I want to replace my header. Some of them look like studs with nuts on them, and look pretty hard to replace, and at least one looks like a bolt that might be easier to replace. how concerned about this should I be and how hard is it going to make swapping headers?

just spray it down with some pb blaster every day for atleast a week or so prior to installation...

as for the bolts, etc.... 3 of them are normal bolts, 2 of them are in fact posts with nuts on them...but the posts come out with the nuts.

so after removing the header, you will have 3 bolts and 2 posts with nuts on them...

for replacement bolts:

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/acura/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=RSX&catcgry2=2005&catcgry3=3DR+TYPE-S&catcgry4=KA6MT&catcgry5=EXHAUST+MANIFOLD&ListAll=All&vinsrch=no&systemcomp=&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal
you need (2) of item #9
and (3) of item #12

and the posts..... i gotta go look for them, i will edit in a bit.

do I need the posts or could I just find similar bolts in grade 10 stainless at the hardware store?

The Pb Blaster is a must. I would suggest only using a 6 point socket when you do take them off. You don't want to round those things off cause then you are going to have a REALLY FUN time if that happens. Also I would suggest having a friend help you hold the socket on the nut so that it sits flush the whole time. I think you can reach the 3 on the top ok but I had to go in from under the car to get the bottom 2 bolts and had my friend hold the socket so there was no flex. Hope it helps if any of that made sense.
