Is anyone running the Motul synthetic racing brake fluid? Ive had a set of stainless brake lines sitting in my garage for the past year needing to be installed on my ep, and well I figgured I might as well swap out the old fluid for some fresh fluid. let me know if you have any input, or if you know of a better fluid.

this is what I have found for information on the fluid:

Motul RBF 660 far exceeds DOT 3 and DOT 4 specifications. Extremely high wet and dry boiling points (dry boiling point even higher than Motul RBF 600) help prevent vapor lock and fade in the harshest environments. Bottles are filled with nitrogen to extend shelf life and eliminate contamination while factory sealed. Suitable for any vehicle requiring DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid.

You don't need the RBF 660 unless you are tracking your car hard core. It's expensive at $30 for half a liter and you're not going to get any of the benefits unless you are repeatedly abusing your brakes like a track environment.

You can use the Motul RBF600 fluid or ATE Super Blue if you want a high performance brake fluid. Both the RBF600 and the ATE stuff will hold up well even at the race track (those are the fluids that I run at the track).

Yeah 660 is just too damn expensive for you to see any benefit. You still will have to flush it as much as Motul RBF 600. So i would go with the cheaper brake fluids, which are about half the cost of Motul's 660.

I just got off the track with my RBF 600 and it worked fine on the track with minor fading.

ATE super blue is your best friend, and cheaper at that. The Turner Motorsports and bimmerworld cars run it regularly

im using endless fluid and its great.
keep in mind im using s-four not rf-650 endless fluid..
the rf-650 is pretty expensive i believe although i havent looked.
but it doesnt boil wet till like 230 degrees celcius.
edit: uh they dont make that anymore, but they have one called "The Truth"

how does the endless fluid work for you?

-.-' motul 5.1 would do just fine for a fraction of the price.

With a high dry boiling point of
270°C and a high wet boiling point of 185°C, enough for daily use and track days.

I have a box of Honda DOT3 for DD and a box of RBF600 for Race.

Don't use 5.1 in a street car unless you want to be replacing many of the seals in your braking system.

how does the endless fluid work for you?

works very well
I'll be tracking my car on august 3rd, first time since i got the endless brake pads so I'll see how well they really perform then.
But as far spirited street driving they do very well.
I was on the freeway going about 90 and traffic came to a stop quite abruptly and there was zero brake fade all the way down to zero mph and I was very hard on the brakes.
The rf-650 is like 30 bucks but its got a 310c dry boiling point i believe, which is some of the highest, and its still safe with ABS equipped vehicles.
certain dot-4 and all dot-5(i dont know if that actually exsists) brake fluids don't work with abs brakes.

Stock or modded, no braking system should have any fade from a single stop...brake fade typically occurs after repeated hard stops without ample cool down time in between.

The Endless SS-S pads are really nice though as a dual purpose (track & DD) pad. I run them too and they should hold up just fine for you at the track I think. They're expensive and they dust quite a bit, but they are quiet with good stopping power and good pedal modulation.

Have fun at the track!

yeah they're good pads, Im sure i'll have lots of fun.
The dust is a bitch but i've got cheapo wheels so i dont really care, it makes them look gunmetal cause the dust off them is less of a brown color and more of a steely grey color.
although I have run into brake fade before with my old fluid(cant remember what it was) and the hawk HPS pads, even with just one stop.

Good to hear, but I would hope you didnt have any fade from one stop! jk, but I'm pretty certain I'll be buying european or american pads next, the japanese stuff is getting much to pricey, and they don't make enough for my car!

yeah pads are pads i guess, if you find a good set thats all you need
but I love the fluid and I think its worth the price.

On another note, what do you guys think about running 660 in the clutch lines, im swapping over to the corsport SS clutch line when I change out my transmission fluid so im planning on swapping out the fluid too, thoughts?

Yeah, imagine that fluid sitting in your reservoir and never reaching operating temperatures. I would consider that a waste of money and brake fluid.
