Can you join a local credit union? Check with local banks and see what kind of rate they are offering. 18% :meek: You should find something under 10 no problem.......... G/L

Check out Wachovia Dealer Services they had pretty good rates for me a few years ago.

I had financed through Bank of America. They gave me a 7.9% finance rate. Maybe you should look into them?

I'm at 10.5% for 49 months(first time buyer... at least that is what they told me the reason was at carmax before they F'd me with the financing and bs warranty I haven't needed until it was too late). I am finished paying about a year and a halfs worth. I got two and a half more years until the car that I own is definitately mine and not worth shhyt. I wish I would have just bought an integra body and dropped a K20A2 in it.:doh::doh:

its military, but anyone can join. just go to the how do i join tab, and its like step #6. you make a one time donation of $20, and you get membership to one of the best credit unions available to the public.

I went through amcore bank originally and got 6.99%, then i recently refinanced through a local credit union advertising atleast 1% off any rate so now I'm at 5.99% :mwink: But definately 18% is way too high. Refinance with a goal of around 7.5-8 % depending on credit and then you could put some of that extra money to other bills or try to pay off your car early. I have very good credit by the way and tried at my normal bank to refinance and they said minimum for my 03 was 8.5% so definately try a credit union. Also, refinancing dropped my payment 25 bucks so you could probably drop yours alot!

Like everyone is saying here look around locally for a credit union and join. Once you're a member, the credit union will offer much better rates to their members than banks do.
Joining a local credit union is also much more convenient and allows you to drop by their office when you need something instead of making a call and trying to sort things out over the phone etc.

Ahhh i probably would have done it anyways and refinanced...only sooner.
Needed the credit and really wanted the car. Only one 4 sale at the time in a 230 mile radius.

i don't understand much about refinance...if your monthly payments are somewhat smaller, don't you still pay longer?

i got mine for 0% on a 3 year back in 05.

If you buy new, it should be pretty easy to get 0% still if you look around..

If you buy used it's alot harder.

i got denied

capitol one credit card was obviously the cause from what i read, i had several times were they would accept the payment then reject it, then accept it causing a $50 reject fee, then a few times that put it over my limit and would give me another over limit fee:mrolleyes:
