Not sure exactly where you are thinking using the wire nuts, but proximity to the exhaust and the actual CAT needs to be considered, it will melt if it isn't rated for high temps.:flame:

Plus vibration, and stuff hitting the underside of the car. If you have to repair the wires, solder them properly and cover them with heat-shrink tubing.
