heres a question i just thought of the vent on the mugen hood would be right above my filter on my aem short intake? what about rain?

Okay now these arent the best but i promise when i get off work i will take better for you. Here is a picture of where the opening are. You can see to awfully done red squares. It shows the opening .they are not big at all. But they are big enough to benefit the motor.

Now because there is a ridge on the opening while driving you wont have a problem. But its not a wide open hole. you actually cant see the opening looking at it from above only from the bottom.

compare the vent on top with the opening on the bottom. its a big difference.

since u have the hood would u think i would have to worry about haveing a short ram intake?

cantonep3
07-28-2008, 06:10 PM
No i dont think you have a worry about it. when i get home i will use a tape measure and mark the distance so you can compare with yours. But the water. worst case you might want to get that thing that goes on cai to help prevent hydro lock.

while i that do me a favor and post how far it is from the plasticpart about the firewall to the end of your airfilter. end i mean where it meets the pipe. So we can one help you and also help others.

did yours come with a shield. Im not a ram air expert but camaros mustangs and wrxs have ram air. what do they do to prevent water
