haha guys, i'm no baller!! the only reason why i'm able to afford modding both rides is because:

1. i still live at home
2. no gf so that saves me tons of $$$$$
3. i work full time as a dental technician making dental crowns.

so i figure i might as well do all this now while i still have the chance!

yeah i was debating on whether or not i should pick up the 16-35. but for me it wouldn't really make sense since i shoot with a 20 and 40 D so i get the shitty crop factor.

Dude, you don't need full frame. I switched over from a 5D to a 40D (1 month before the initial release date). I was beta testing a 40D for my work, since they sent us one before releasing it to the public. I liked it so much I sold the 5D body for a 40D and got a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS with the extra money.

Well, I did it because they are supposedly releasing a new version of the 5D soon (if they have not already). Plus, my clients cannot tell the difference when they make their prints anyways :mconfused: LOL.

Enough thread jacking, but nice ass parts =).

f/4? pass the narrowest dof is like 3 and a half feet at 40mm
i like to take pictures inside everyonce in a while

and at 17mm everything up to like.... 80feet is in focus.

Ep3T0n3y

that i like faster lenses. because they take cinematic pictures.

Windchaser

You don't really need anything faster than f/4 unless you are seriously a crappy photographer or you are afraid of shooting in higher ISO. I have a 50mm f/1.8L prime that I have not even unwrapped. Hell the only 2 lens that I use is the 24-70 and the 17-40. Even in action shots, the 70-200 f/4 shoot just as sharp as its counterpart f/2.8 on the same metering modes.

But when you have a 18-55, 70-300 and 28-70 in your bag. the 10-20 is a nice pick up.:mangel:

But some of the cameras when you start to bump the ISO up they get worse..no matter what.

And I have shot with the F4 and F2.8 and the 2.8 is a really nice jump...just not worth the extra 500-600

wow. You cant be serious.
Any professional photographer has at least one lens faster that a f/2, even if what they are shooting is metering a f/5.6. All headshots are shot at the fastest speed (around f/1.4) of the lens. To keep the eyes in focus and nothing else.
the higher the iso, the more noise, less clear the image.
The aperture has nothing to do with clarity. Just the amount of light that passes threw the lens. And I dont blame you about not using that 50mm prime. I would just sell that $75 50mm lens you have, it sucks fat donkey dick. its only got 5 aperture blades. which just screams cheap. you should get something without a plastic mount. Like a 1.4 and it actually has a focus distance ring.

well, not really a full-on world class facility, but it had a short course with your 1/4 mile strip and whatnot.
