History:

I want to thank everyone on ephatch for the info/help/labor I got from this site to make this car possible. I barely gave any thought to my username when i signed up for this forum. I never had the intention of sticking around back in '05. This build has taken me several years with 2 different ep3's.

My 1st nhbp ep3:
Bought her on 07/07/2005 as a college graduation gift to myself. I had the intention of keeping it well maintained and more importantly, a stock DD until the Honda CPO extended warranty ended. This accident started it all:

A drunk driver decided to cut me off and cut across 2 lanes to get to a gas station. I swerved to avoid him but it was either hit a telephone pole or get hit by him. This was the result:

I was 3 payments away from paying her off but sold the totaled EP to insurance.




My 2nd EP3 (previously MugenDom (http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?54528)'s):
Flew out to New Mexico in April 2010, met Dom and I purchased her. Drove a total of 36 hours and just over 2,000 miles to bring the car back home.

BTW i'm running falkens 205-50-16 on them. in retrospect i wish i had gotten 205-45-16.. a drop is coming soon. but first i "need" a new clutch and possibly an LSD

I've been trying to figure out how I'm gonna get it to work with my fogs. I know a significant portion of the lens will be covered by the lip. And I'm worried about the heat from the lens affecting the paint on the lip itself.

Yup, you got it. I test drove a bunch of cars (Evo's, STI's, 3-Series, GTI', R32's, FA's, FG's, among others) but nothing felt right. Probably a stupid idea in most people's eyes but this second time around, I knew exactly what I wanted plus I had all the parts from my NHBP EP. I was lucky enough to still have my winter/daily setup on the car when the car got hit. I like to think everything worked out in my favor in the end.

k24a2 is next. Gathering parts now. I was hoping to put my new tranny in at the same time as the motor but things didn't work out that way (throwout bearing snapped/broke). After that, next big project will be some form of boost.

dude cut me off, ran me off the road and i was literally inches away from hitting a telephone pole. luckily i had my winter setup on and all of the jdm stuff was off the car. the ep ended up being totalled by the insurance company. luckily i had all my stock parts and was able to get 95% of all my aftermarket shit off of the car. most of the stuff was repainted and put onto my newer ep

ain't nothing much to it, but i love how it came out. figured the front and sides are badgeless, it only makes sense to do the back. i got the rear trunk panel shaved at a local bodyshop.

The lip is a facelift (04/05) EP/EU Modulo lip. On ephatch, it was commonly known as the EP2 lip.

The grill is aftermarket. I bought it during a groupbuy on civictype-r.co.uk. I'll dig around for the box and try to find the product info for you. I previously bought one off ebay.co.uk but wasn't happy with the quality/finish. I sold that one and kept the one from the group buy.

Yup! The radiator ducts I have are authentic. The authentic ducts should come paired with a second dry CF piece that mounts to the rebar. You can see it peeking through in some of the pics

That's a very good observation, and I agree. There are quite a few balancing acts inherent in the EP's body. It's a difficult shape to play with. But I also dislike the H and prefer a cleaner look.

The EP3R wheels are heavy as shit and the rim sizing leaves much to be desired but I've always loved em. I've gone through several different wheel combos and I keep coming back to the EP3R wheels. Its not a priority on my list but I am looking for one last set of wheels :mangel:

Haven't updated this is a very long time.

I haven't added any new parts in a while but I recently swapped out the k24a2 with another one. EP3 is now running really well again and I hope to make it out to some meets this year.

Needed to replace the TCT and the oil pump on the old k24a2. I plan to tear it down and do a mild rebuild as well as some upgrades over the next few months.
