What's your opinion on 04-05 headlights?

I don't know. For some reason, every time I look at my car, I dislike the way they look. I kinda wish I got the 02-03's instead. I like the way the ctr projectors look too, so it's not the bubblyness that i don't like, just the front view of where the low beams are at. Anyone else feel the same way?

i've got 02-03 CTRs and they look nice. the smoke housing is really subtle when compared to usdm.

but i wish i had 04-05 w/ projectors for better lighting.

NA dude sorry.. i thought they look sweet.. still thinking if i should go with the real deals or Depo.. they look legit.. but i like the honeycomb.. turn signal.. better.. but still dont know..

while u are correct bout the trhead... there are more differences between oem ctrs and depo's. Sorry

i went from stock bulbs to piaa. color was improved, but output is still awful. maybe i should try the silver star next.

i've been thinking about going in on the HID conversion kit Group Buy thats going on right now, but i think i'd rather have halogen projectors than HIDs with no projectors.

I ran Silverstars & Hella lights-- both were improvements over stock, but the output was generally terrible. The housings themselves are just substandard.

As far as HID's, I agree with the "halogen projector vs HID with no projector" statement. HID's hurt oncoming traffic when not properly filtered.

i like the 04-05 head lights....i think they look pretty mean. the 02-03's aren't bad, espcially when blacked out....but they def. look FOCUS like....yea im sorry i said that lol...but they do :mangel:

The 04'-05' headlights look much better w/ black housing...IMO. The 02'-03's look too plain. I'm not a fan of the CTR projectors, they look a little out of place on the EP.

I agree, I feel that the 04-05's have better optics bordering on damn good for a reflector based housing! I have no problem with the looks at all.

I agree. Was driving on the highway on saturday night and the light output was pretty bad. Definatly gonna be stepping up to some 04-05 HID projects as one of the next mods.

i have an 05 and i love the housing so much better than the 02-03 si. the only thing that bothers me is the bubble effect on the lens. if you look at the 02-03 si the lens cover on the headlight flows the line of the hood down to the bumper. the 04-05 lens cover bubbles out slightly. it is one of those nit pick things but it annoys me for some reason.

if you're comparing USDM '02-03 lights vs. USDM '04-05 headlights, I think the '02-03's look a million times better. That said, I think the CTR projectors (04-05) look the best. Something about the projector within the headlight shell that makes it look a lot better imo.
