might be for the secondary o2

Is it P1166 or P1167? (Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction)

If it went away, it is probably not anything to worry about. Those 2 CELs generally indicate a poor connection somewhere (either at the sensor or the ECU) or that the sensor is bad.

If you want accurate help with a DTC, you need to post the exact DTC.

your primary o2 is the a/f sensor. When I had that issue it would come on and off and then eventually it came on and stayed, my primary was shot.

i cleared the ECU yesterday, thats why it went off... but it just came on again.... gotta make sure its the same code, and ill let you know the exact number.

is it safe to drive on it tho?

some cases when the primary is shot you will be running a bit rich, but that is not a problem. The ecu does that to ensure you don't get lean.

If the ECU does go into limp mode and dump fuel, it won't cause immediate damage, but running too rich for a long time can cause internal damage. However, an issue with the primary O2 sensor won't always force the ECU into limp mode, so if you can still get a good A/F reading don't freak out over it. :msmile:
