I'm looking into getting one so my questions are 270mm or 300mm (do both let you drop down the visors without hitting them?), convex or flat (does it really make a difference?), blue tint or chrome?

i use my visors everyday so no broadway for me and i think they're useless because you can already see the whole rear hatch.

they're not useless when you can see out the rear hatch AND both rear side windows, effectively preventing any sort of blind spot. WELL worth it imo.

ps i have the convex 270mm non-tinted. my driver's side visor barely hits, but the passenger side doesn't. i don't care though, because i wear my polarized aviators :mcool: so glare is no longer a problem.

If you have your mirrors adjusted properly there is no blind spot anyway. Move the viewpoint so that you can't see the side of your car and you'll see what is beside you in your side mirrors.

I second that!
The Civic has no blind spots! And the stock mirror is big enough to hit the hatch on both side so there is no need for a "chinese" mirror like i call them!

I've got either the 240mm or 270mm convex tinted. I hate driving cars without them.

Now if fuckers highbeam me from behind it doesn't effect me because the mirror is tinted.

I don't know how you guys find them functional.

I wanted one to help me see fuckers dive bombing my blindspot on the 405 freeway in rush hour traffic. I bought the 270mm version and tried it for a month or two and it didn't do shit for me. I couldn't see my blindspots any better than the stock mirror because our rear window is too small and the pillars there are too fat.

Mostly all the Broadway mirror did was show me more of the rear seats which is pretty much useless.

Plus the mirror vibrated way more than the stock mirror and even on "smooth" freeways (that's a contradictory of terms for SoCal freeways) the thing would just constantly bounce around and give you blurry vision.

Oh and it was in the way of the visor too.

Broadway mirrors FTMFL if you ask me

i think they're useful in that whereever your head is you can still see out, you dont need to move it left and right and up and down to get the full picture, so if you're a little tired and you're leaning against the door or something you can still see out.

If you're that damn tired where it's a chore to move your head you probably shouldn't be driving for the safety of yourself and others.

On topic, though, I used to want one of these until I saw it irl in someone's car. I thought it was hideous. People have different tastes, though.

lol okay dont have a fit.
I'm just saying its convenient to have a mirror that is more visible from more locations in the car.
There are many times where I'll be sitting in a funny position and I cant see a thing out of my rearview because the tiny thing only works when I'm in the exact position i have it set for.

It's okay, I still love you. :gheywa:

Different strokes for different folks. I can see how it could be useful, but I couldn't get over how honking big it is. Give it a whirl. Worst case scenario is you'll have to classified/ebay it, but I'd advise seeing one in a car irl beforehand if at all possible since that was what changed my mind.

Eloist2 had one in his ep and it looked good, it was a 270 i believe.
I've considered getting one in a 240mm not because i need the visibility or anything on account of i know how to properly adjust my sideview mirrors, but simply because I prefer the shape and the quality of the mirror glass itself.

if you don't think they're useful, then you must have some big ass bug-eyes 'cause i can't see shit with the oem mirror.

SiN05

I Did buy one and its a 270mm convex with blue tint (flame on the blue tint if you'd like). Both visors come down the whole way but the passenger one is the only one that rotates forward without hit the mirror. I do like it though the convex goes from drivers door post to passenger door post. I does vibrate alot, I would have thought they would have put more time in to designing that aspect out. If you have a sub and bump the music heavily it does drop it down. lastly there is no dim feature like the standard mirror so opt for some sort of tint or you'll be blind when your driving in the dark.

300MM convex with tint...none of that blue crap.

300MM convex + side mirrors adjusted all the way out = no blind spot. :mwink:

i bought one a few years back...and that thing makes the mirror fall down...when its hot especially. I liked how much more i could see with my seats not letting u turn around very easily
