View Full Version : Help, Can't shift into reverse after swap

I just swapped my 5spd for an EP3r 6spd w/ LSD. I can shift into all 6 gears but not into reverse. I modified my BCSS to allow me to get into reverse, but still won't engage.
Any suggestions on what else i need to do? I have searched everywhere and can not find anything.

Linkage hitting the intake?

Didn't check that. Do I need to move the Intake to fit the 6spd?
I have the factory air box.

Ok,

I can get my car into reverse now, but it is really hard.
I have to hit the shifter in order for it to go into the reverse gear.
Has anyone had to adjust their shifter cables to correct this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you may have to notch the shifter like they did here.....

I did notch the shifter.
I get in and out of the other gears with no problem, but when trying to get into reverse it is real hard and I have to literally hit the shifter in that direction to get to go.
