sanded and clear coated the wing =]

i was planing on doing this for a while but never dared to try it until today and i gotta say it came out better than i expected. my cf wing was so faded it looked like it was flat black or primer. so today i sanded it down real good then sanded some more and then some more then some clear after all that some more sanding and finally 4 coats of clear.

What was the process you used?

the way i did it was


1. wet sand it with 150 grit
2. wet sand it with 240 grit
3. matte clear coat
4. wet sand 240 grit
5. regular clear coat
6. wet sand it with 240 grit
7. wet sand it with 320
8. clear coat four times



I'm sure you prolly dont need to do everyone of those steps but i had the time so i did all that tomorrow im waxing and buffing and i will try and get some high quality pics up.

if u get the spray can clear, it wont crack no matter how much u put. its the one u have to mix together (use for spray gun) that will crack if u put to much hardener.

maybe a good 1500 then 3500 wetsand then buff and wax will make it pop.

Looks good except the milky parts where too much clear built up.
You should give it one last westand with 1000grit and then another layer of clear, 240 even wetsanding is very rough
