guys be careful with those chrome headers, I took mine off this weekend to install a new gasket (as my stock one was leaking) and found out that chrome plated threads can be a pain in the ass. If the plating on the threads comes off it binds the bolts and they are a bitch to remove. The bolts bind up so hard that they can break in half during removal. It is strange because on installation they theaded in so nicely almost by hand. Upon removal they came out pretty loosely until about half way out then one of them binded up on me and finally had the bolt break in half. We ended up getting the rest of the bolt out but it wasn't easy.

Couod you remove the chrome from the threads before installation?? With a dremel or something. How much for the new gasket and where ?

Thanks

the gasket was just a stock replacement from Honda, I think it was $25 Canadian, it is the one that mounts between the head and the header. I should have used a new one from the start.

I doubt you can remove the plating on the threads, I guess all you might do is use some anti-sieze compound on the bolts, that may help.

anti-sieze compound is your friend.

ALWAYS use anti-sieze on exhaust components. it will all but eliminate the siezing or binding of metal parts.
