Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD custom background?

anybody with a pioneer AVH-P4000DVD in-dash screen know if there's a way to customize the background???

i love it. yeah i didn't think i needed nav cuz i know where i'm going anyway and plus i have my cell, if anything i'll get a portable one. i also didn't install it so it flushed more with the dash tho so like the bottom right corner sticks out a bit but it doesn't bother me. and the sound is sooooo much better.. i don't regret it one bit..

but... anyone knoe anything about the background??? cuz i know it's posible on the avic ones.. i just can't find anything about customizing the background on these...

fungkeyfresh, I found this on www.f150online.com where someone modded the background on this unit and added the bypass. Them ford truck guys love this radio. I ordered mine today with speakers upgrade. Hope this help, here's the link: (Started on post #55 on page 4)

The unit sits on an angle toward the driver? Or did you mount it that way.

i guess that's how it angles but you can customize it to sit more flush. i was too lazy to do all that. i guess it angles cuz it's not centered on the dash, it's sits more to the right becuase of the a/c controls and all that

You have to angle the screen right! something is wrong there,
I had the 3100 and the 4100 (now getting the 4200)
and non of them have been angle.

did you find your way to put the background pic?
if not just put the pic on a USB (JPG) and when is playing them
look in the main screen for the option CAPTURE, then it will ask you to confirm and youre done!
only 1 BG pic at the time is available in the headunit. (you can change it any time with the same process)
