sounds good to me, sp2 or ws2 are really quiet, nice looking exhausts. However, you might get some rasp from the testpipe.

I am leaning towards ditching the neuspeed catback and going with a K-teller kit for the EP3. I just cannot figure out whether I should go with the 3" or get something smaller. Great idea for a setup Talon.

Just google up K-Teller. They sell a mandrel bent kit that allows you to install any muffler you prefer.

I have the HKS Hi flow exhaust....but its far from semi loud. Its about as loud as it gets from a straight pipe.


I recall my stock making a decent lil noise when I would pull up to Mcdonalds. As far as something a lil louder and not cheap? idk personally.

I would actually like to hear something like that.

I would go with ws2 or sp2, both really quiet even with a race header.

I bo believe that I have posted up a video of both my idle and a WOT dyno run with basically that very exhaust. It is louder than stock, but not by much at idle and just above, But at WOT it gets loud(nowheres near HKS loud though), with absolutely no rasp or harshness.

The best part is that the cops dont even give you a second glance unless you are doing something stupid in front of them. It truely is a sleeper style exhaust.

No one makes a bolt-on cat to use with the DCsports race header, but Random tech makes a highflow cat/downpipe that will work with the DCsports shorty header.

BEST OPTION: If you can, go type-s DCRH with the OEM 05+ S midpipe + your axleback.

Good gains, on the cheap. Not loud at ALL, and sounds good when your getting on it. Its got a little deeper tone than stock overall. I love the classifieds on this site.. my 2.5" setup cost me <$350. I'll take that for a quick 15-20whp. And if you get the DCRH you can bolt it right up to that a2!

i'd have to disagree, i have a buddy who had a dc race header and greddy evo2 and his car sounds good, it's also not that loud unless your at WOT

im enjoying this thread a lot looking for something similar
