I just want to know some info about how other attached their JDM skirts( or replicas). I need to put mine back on and I don't want them to fall off again.

1. How many people used sticky pads vs. double sided tape.
2. Also, what other (if any) modifications did you do to make the skirts stick.
3. lastly, how long have you had them on your car?

Thanks :msmile:

i used the clips from honda with the adhesive back,(in every slot available, don't short cut it). then bolt it in the front by the wheel well. the back side just floats. mine have been on for 3 years and even in snow they've never fallen off

With proper surface prep the provided clips with doublesided tape works fine and will last the life of the car, cut corners and they will start falling off within minutes!

Do a search and you will find the proper procedures in a variety of threads. I also moved this thread to the correct section.

I just called up my local dealer and asked what was needed. Try hondapartsdeals.com as well.

brackets included, double sided taped the crap out of it. make sure to clean the body of the car with alcohol. I've had mine on only a week, but it held on a 3 hour drive on route 80 with out moving a mm.

true. I have 22 of the sticky clips.. i used half that last time, and it wasn't so good. but the bottom didn't fall of, it was the flap at the top which started flapping. Hopefully this weekend I can get mine on permanently.. along with some automotive adhesive :mangel:

This stuff is the shit, i used it as an audi/porsche detailer all day long, they sell it in spray cans too...wash the car first then dry, then use this with a microfiber towel... clean surface.

no double side tapes or clips for me. I got replicas and shaved them to fit propperly. Its been five years for me and no problem.

you guys know what I've always wanted to do with the side skirts... I've thought of using the punch nails to hold them on. It would be so flushed.
