Has your car been in an accident or repainted before?

I wouldn't think you would see paint chipping and rust otherwise.

i do alot of highway driving. They definitely look like little rock chips.

you can stop it, and its going to take a while for the rust to eat through your car. if you want to stop it, id say wet sand with a really fine sandpaper (2000 grit) just to take off the surface rust, and get touch-up paint. that what i did, and no rust.

see what sux is that the chips and rust is so miniscule. If I took sand paper to it, it would scuff up a way bigger area. arghhh

I agree!

Sand the areas with 1200, 1500, or 2000 depending on the severity of the rust.

Get some clear and mix it with your color, use half color half clear.
(That will make a single stage)

Then touch it up until it fills the chips.

Let it sit awhile then take 1200 and sand until smooth.

Last step is to buff it with some compound followed by a swirl mark remover!
