i have a question we all know that eps are slow as hell and everyone hates on them. i love my car but i dont got that much money to really do any real engine mods i came across a k24 block and someone told me that i can slap that with my stock head and it would make some power not much but enought to notice. Is it possible and how much gain if any would you get? Oh yeah im new to this type of thing so dont mind me

im curious to why it would be a waste if he was doing the swap himself. wouldnt the extra torque be nice. isnt the block is where all the torque is.

We don't even know what K24 short block hes talking about, so who know if its even possible. Or if hes even talking about a short block, it may be a long block.

OP any K24 long block would be better then a K24 short block with a K20a3 head. The K20a3 head is nothing like the B16 head was.

a full k24a1 swap would be nice. responces very well to mods. The had flows great. kpro and some cams, and we are taking close to 2OOwhp, and tons of torque

im talking about a k24 long block from a 04-05 accord with a stock a3 head. I tried looking for a post that i found awhile ago but i cant find it anymore since they remodeled the web page. It would be cheap i can get the block for 1300 all together with the new head bolts, gaskets all that good stuff from the dealership. Some say make it turbo or do a A2 swap but some of of have real bills and dont live home with mommy and daddy. sorry if i hurt somebodys feelings who still lives at home.

Bad idea putting your A3 head on a K24 block, when you can get a whole K24A1 engine for the same price, and the A1 head flows better.

are you kidding me? 1300 for a k24a4. Sorry, my apologies but you can find a k24a4 long block(full engine) shipped for 850 on this forum from dobbsi or something like that. There would be no reason to throw the a3 head on there. Now remember you would need k-pro to get it to run ideally. Yes you can use an a1 or a4 with your ecu and 310 injectors but as soon as you add i/h/e it will start to run lean.

You CAN NOT put the A3 head on the K24A4 with the stock A4 pistons in there. They will impact the head before they reach TDC. (there are protrusions/horns on the A4 pistons) What you need to do is find a set of TSX rods and pistons and drop them in there, and then add the A3 head(preferable to find a A2 or then next a A1 head then A3)

Talon is right, listen to him.

Not a nice welcome to the sight... it's usually far more supportive here. BUT I suggest you spend a lot of time reading things here before you start new threads.
