Ok so it's been a long time since i did any data log's with the hot weather and no matter how much i street tune this thing i can't get all the knocks gone. I think the ones i'm getting are phantom knocks but i can't tell, kpro is still messed up since it dose not show the knock threshold. Any imput would be great. I have pulled (what i think) lots's of timing out and really dose not help so idk. It runs great and i have had zero problems so for except the knocks. the run i did was a 3rd gear pull at wot. i'm runnin 87oct.

Its real knock.. There is a such thing as taking too much ignition out and causing knock too. You Really need to tune with a wide band and tune the fuel then ignition..

I think the a/f is fine the way it sits. Sure it could use some tuning but it's not bad at all. I just can't figure out if it's real knock or not. I was told if it's below 1.15volts it's a phantom knock.

i dont know much about k24's but should your cam angle drop all the way down to 1degree at redline??? i know mine is at 40 to 50 degrees

could be a problem there

even if its only knock if its above 1.5 volt there is at least 7 peaks it is over 1.5 volt.

Knock can also be helped by adding fuel, alot of times adding the fuel will allow you to add more ignition advance back in. You need to do some low rpm WOT street tuning, it looks very choppy.

thats what i meant to say..

More fuel will lower combustion chamber temps and reduce knock..

Also try using better fuel. You say your using 87 octane.. I know you dont have to run premium but you can try mid grade fuel and see if that helps.

Find a set of stock fuel injectors and do the flow upgrade mod and use them, or just a set of 310cc injectors.

:yeahthat:

You just need some setup specific fine tuning... i would also do some part throttle tuning... its difficult to repeat each pull for comparable results... but part throttle response will definitely improve as will power and fuel economy.

this is true... try running the highest octane as possible at least 94 octane. i went for holiday few months ago, it was 16-18 hours drive and when i got to my destiantion i realize they dont have 94 octane. the only thing i can use was 92 octane and my car knock so bad and i'm not even pushing my car. by the way, this is in my k20z1 supercharged.

I'll try running 93oct. and see it that helps. I'm getting tired of tweaking it all the time. Ill do a bit more and then i'm just gunna call it a day. I don't think even they way it's set up now is going to hurt it. Sure power is not peak but it runs very smooth.
