EP03

Been floating around here for years as my g/f has had an EP3 for about 4 years now (and guess who had to figure out how to fix/mod it?), so I figured now would be a fitting time to join...especially since I just bought one myself!

Haven't picked the car up yet and probably wont until this weekend, but here are some shots I took a few weeks ago when I looked at it. It's never seen snow and is rarely driven in rain...a shame since it will become my dedicated daily, but rust proofing works wonders!

Here's the pics:

It's a 2003, clearly VBP with about 96,000kms on it. It's actually owned by my g/f's dad, so I know where it's coming from at least. Amsoil since new as well as constant maintenance when needed. Other than that, it's stock...for now.

Here's my current toy, aka, the track toy/garage queen:

Thanks! How do I go about gaining these privileges?

I do! I plan on retiring the Mazda from it's track duties, so the EP will take charge. Goals right now are to get the suspension sorted, where I will likely go to KW Variant2 coilovers or something or that sort, as well as a DC5-R 6spd with LSD trans, 17x8's with something sticky, and little odds and ends from there.

I'm not used to Honda setups (sad since this is my 4th Honda product in 4 years) but I plan to pick up the specs needed to make this a fun little track toy!

Got it for about $12,000 CDN. Because of it's history I felt it was worth it. Better knowing where it's coming from I figure, even if the colour wouldn't have been my first choice...:mwink:

But thanks for the comments guys. It's really appreciated!

Very nice and the gfx model as well.

What color were you looking to get?

I bought my ep3 at 11.3k at 60,000kms and he also bought me new tires.

Well the whole deal is on the fence right now. Found a lot of rust hidden under the passenger side door moulding that shouldn't be ther. It's clearly a defect in the workmanship but Honda wont budge on fixing it.

So that in mind, I'm rethinking the deal. Might still end up with it, but it's a heck of pain knowing it needs repairs. Unless someone knows where I can find a VBP passenger door!?

That sucks!

Other than that, is the car a good buy? Looks very clean.

It still is, but I'm super picky, so it's hard to tell! I'm looking at a few other cars such as an RSX TypeS and a 2000 Civic SiR as I've always loved them. Just looking for reliable, long lasting, and something that I can beat the piss out of! After 3 Honda's, I know they can take it!

All the cars you've owned or want are ones that my friends own. Good old reliable honda.

I hope you find what you're looking for. I say go for the ep but that's kinda bias of me. Come join the dark side :hay:

I would love to pick up the EP, but I honestly hate having paint work done! It's never the same as OEM. Will see what happens though. Looking at some cars today so the decision should be made shortly. If I do end up with the EP, I already have Tein springs for it haha!

Thanks for all the comments everyone!
