I am going to be spending a semester in Thailand and teach kids in poverty some English. It should be badass, but they are really behind in technology in that area. After that, I am heading to New Zealand to check out some graduate schools with my cousins.

Jae in grew up in Burma? Wow, that is amazing!!! The kids I will be teaching are from Burma that entered Thailand for a better life of some sort. They speak both languages, which are similar languages. So can you speak Thai?

Yea, burma is where I call home (although I am korean, my dad moved there when i was in 1st grade and stayed there till i graduated highschool, and the first time I actually went to korea after I went to burma is before I came here for school, can you say culture shock?!). I actually went to an international school over in rangoon, so i do know burmese, but I'm not fluent in it, let's just say I know enough to get around. I should've learned but all my friends spoke english and a lot of people actually speak ok english in burma cos of the british colonization.

I miss burma, my best friend from high shcool is getting married in burma soon so I might go back in october if school and work schedule can be worked out. So you are going to thailand? I <3 bangkok. I used to fly over there with friends, for tournaments, and with my family. I could never get sick of bangkok.
