So, pulled the cylinder head cover to do a valve adjustment recently, and noticed that the rubber seals that wrap around the spark plug tubes (#4 in the above drawing) hadn't been seated right...one of them had been curled up against the spark plug tube, apparently from the factory (I've never pulled the cover until now). Same tube as well as the coil, shows some signs of corrosion.
So, anybody ever replaces these? I'm assuming that you just pull the old one, pop on the new one, and then make sure it seats right when you put the cover back on the engine. But we all know what happens when we assume...everything gets all *$*(^@(^@@$_( up. :mbiggrin:
