rear tow hook installed

Installed a black rear Datum1 tow hook today, I like it. will post pics later.

its just for show, considering you dont pull a front wheel drive car from the rear.

Why would honda put a tow hook in the rear then?
Incase you get stuck.
Ive had to use my tow hook twice from the rear.
And it works great.

i like it. too much $$$ for me tho. i actually used the stock one today. had to tow it with the tractor to the front yard(from back) then towed it with my pick up to my shop.(from the front) first time ever using it and im SO glad it was there.

Yeah I bought mine, from a local guy he had it brand new. Bought it for $25.00. So yeah I couldn't pick the color, I wanted a red one. Oh and I haven't got a camera to take pics with right now. I also just got my Jdmdc5 amber side markers in today from Jdmland.com, so I will be installing those soon.

there's already a tow hook in the rear anyway. i can understand it's functional use, but most ppl won't even use it. on top of that, cosmetically, i don't even think it looks cool. everyone here in socal who has a tow hook is deemed a ricer.

Just let people do what people want..it is their car and I dont think a tow hook is rice and anyway why is everybody so afraid of being rice anyway, people need to just relax let other people just get what they want and like.

also if any of you came to where I live I dont care if Guardian came down here and raced the domestics, even he would be considered rice and so would all the "tuners" so if you really dont want to be rice.. buy domestic.

I dont mean to come off as harsh or anything its just this paranoia of what is rice and what isnt is just dumb and to me anyway proves your fixing your car up for the people around you and not yourself.

yes, the stock ep like all cars comes with a tow hook in the front and the rear. but the main reason that these are available is because they're (for lack of a better word) like 'extensions'. if you actually track your car, and you run off course, say into the sand, your stock front and rear tow hooks most likely won't be accessible. these tow hooks would make it 'easier' to get your car towed out.

i agree they're pointless on a DD, i think they're ricey, but if the owner of the car likes it then so be it. btw, i have a benen tow hook set AND i don't track my car :mredface:
