I know that there is no point in having a Vtec controller in our cars when it comes to performance.... because our fake Vtec engages at about 2.5k or some shit like that....

So my question is.... if I get a Vtec controler and set Vtec to engage like at 5k.... will i be saving more gas???

Yeah that's exactly what i-vtec is, it's not "real" vtec because it's made to help fuel economy. Thus, factory specs for i-vtec are probably about as good as it gets on mpg.

All buying a vtec controller is gonna do for you with an ep3 is set you back on another mod!

So the K20z3 is fake VTeC also?

I-VTEC is indeed real VTEC, My A2 is a I-VTEC engine and it has "real" VTEC, and just so you know, my A3 engine had "real" Vtec as well just the economy version.

The "I" portion of I-VTEC refers to VTC. This is were the Kseries engines EXCELL and make above average torque/power and get decent fuel mileage as well. VTC is the variable intake cam shaft timing, where the cam actually rotates and advances or retards the valve timing in relationship to the crank position.

And I get far better fuel mileage than the "factory specs" with a cammed A2/Z3 hybrid, but it takes Kpro.
