Tein S-Techs on stock struts now for years with no issues. Im at 70k and they have taken a beating. They are due for a changing... but the car handles just fine. Its a GREAT spring for the $$$.

to be fair, he actually has them on his car while im just against stock shocks for anything besides stock springs. his opinion carries more weight, so 2 for 1.

LOL i dunno about more weight, but i do agree that coilovers are better than springs and stock shocks. I got them just to get rid of the 4x4 look while i decided on what coilovers to get. I was so pleased with them i decided to leave them on till the OEM struts wore out THEN i would swap them out for coilovers. I guess i wanted my $$$'s worth out of the OEM struts at that point. Admittedly the Teins dont drop ya a lot... but for $200... its hard to beat the performance advantage over the OEM springs. I guess like anything with a car, its personal choice and what you are looking for in the end.

i have s tech on tokiko blues on both my cars and its good for your average drive. never tracked it or anything. I would think, why do it twice when you gotta replace your struts soon anyways.

i have tein s-tech's w/ stock shocks, i think for about 3-4k miles(year and a few months) at 57-58k miles on the org. shocks
did it just for the drop and its perfect, rides good. I want diff. stiffer shocks though
and i have to take it easy on speed bumps

I'm just trying to make my Ep look like a normal car... not a 4x4. In my opinion, by looking at other cars with S techs, thats how a normal car looks like without a drop.... and that is what i am pretty much aiming for. If only Our Si's weren't super elevated... then I wouldn't be doing this.
The reason I don't go lower because I don't like to scrape on everyone's driveway... I don't like to damage the under carriage.

Sure you can do it, but you just wont get all the benefits as you would if you pair them up with a set of good dampers.

Benefits are good on the circuit.... but since I'm not doing that... throwing away more cash for a DD is kind of pointless when all I am looking for is a little drop.
