i was driving home just a few min ago. and i noticed my speedometer had jumped up to speed. it was the first time i have seen it jump. but after this i noticed that the speedometer was acting real sluggish. as in when i slam on the brake the speedometer would not go down at its normal speed. but im sure its nothing big probably a lose connection. but i was just wanting ideas before looked at it.
Thanks

Is there anything wrong with the RPM too? or is still only the speedometer?

yea i have had i cel on for a while now for coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp. so i could be throwing a code for the vss too. not sure yet i plan to look at it today

because it may not be completely bad. if it is still working, then you would not have a cell. however, if it is doing what you say it is, it will stop working completely.
when mine went out, the odometer stopped working and the gas gauge was not reading right.

Or maybe you just had some mystical "mad-vtak" engage tonight, which caused mad wheelspin and that apparent speedo jump... You prolly just need better tires. ;)
