i put a set of neuspeed sport springs to drop the car a tad, and stiffin it up a bit...it eliminated some body roll...however i want it to roll less. i dont want to fork out a bunch of money on coilovers...and i have the stock shocks on it right now. i was wondering if a front tower bar and a rear tower bar would help... i just want to be able to take corners a little tighter! any suggestions for cheap stiffening????

You are not improving anything by retaining the OEM struts. Do yourself a HUGE favor and upgrade those. Get some Ground Control springs and Koni struts.

higher springrates
custom valved shocks
wider, stickier tires
performance alignment

maybe in that order for getting rid of only body roll.

By getting a front strut bar and rear strut bar those two wont do a lot in terms less body roll. If I were you I would get a new rear sway like the CTR rear sway or the RSX-S or the Progress rear sway?

Thanks,
Matt

The best bang for the buck rear sway is the 05' RSXtypeS, it is 21mm and only about 60$

my .02, upgrade those OEM struts. You'll notice a difference right away.

Your aftermarket springs are to much of a drop, you rollcenters are going to be below the ground and your ep3 is going to handle worse than stock.....have fun being slow.:mwink:

search for some posts by zzyzx. he explains why body roll is ok. people ask this all the time. so do the search.

i feel like we say the same thing in every thread. people dont want to actually have a car that handles well, they just want to pretend to.

because we do.
1) people dont search or read past page 1
2) people think that having zero roll is what everyone else strives for
3) just because f1 or other race cars lack body roll, so should a street car

i think there should be a sticky: "why some body roll is ok." zzyzx or musty will have to author that one cause i certainly dont know enough.

righto... those springs are actually softer than your stock springs but the car only feels tighter because you have turned the LCAs up and are now hitting bump stops, creating a wider turn in, IE- shittier handling

Get in on the group buy for the D3 XX brace and get some Koni struts.

Upgrade sway bar?

Sway bar = anti roll bar.

By putting a larger one in the rear, it will let the rear kick out more in a turn. (Oversteer)

IMO, it's the FIRST suspension thing to put on the EP. It's easy to install, you actually feel the difference, and it's the cheapest.

The only con I had with it was getting the stupid endlinks off. I had to replace them because I ended up dremel-ing them off. Damn, salted roads.

Upgrade sway bar?

Sorry, I misunderstood, you were telling the OP to upgrade sway bars for less roll. Sorry dude, I need more coffee. :mcool:

I'll start off simple...

Do you just want to get rid of body roll, or do you want to make the car handle better?

showoff3civic

high rate springs, better strust/shocks, roll center adjusters, swaybars

You want the 05'+ type S rear sway bar bushings and brackets. The single best and cheapest rear suspension mod

Coilovers have the shocks/dampers integral to their design.
This is the Progress coilovers, along with the DC5R lower control arm's.

Nice. (pronounced NOICE!)

Step 1, buy some good dampers and install them
Step 2, Buy a camber kit for the front and rear and install them
Step 3, get a good alignment AKA NON-OEM there are threads here regarding that
Step 4, learn to ignore body roll.
Step 5, PROFIT!!!!

Talon, I'm curious as to what spring rates you running on those Progress. Care to share?
