i ordered new spark plugs thinking i had ik22, but i just pulled them out to change and i was using ik24's... can i just put in the 22's and be ok, or should i exchange them for the 24's? will the 22's feel any different? will it affect the tune at all?

I can't remember what head you are running. IK22 is stock on the RSX. IK24 would be one step colder. It probably won't make much of a difference, but it might. Can you take the plugs back where you got them?

^^ yes for ~10 or more psi

for 15-20 (not that anyone would run 20 on an a3) i would use a 8-9 heat rating plug

or ik24

im using ngk bkr9es (or something like that) and my compression on my a2 was dropped to 9:1 (same as an a3) the heat rating is a 9 but im also running 20+ psi (it creeps to ~21 going up hill)

but its more cost effective to just use the cheap ngk plugs instead of the 60+ dollar per set densos since you may have to change them quite a bit
and the only upside to the densos are that they do give some power but 1-2whp isnt noticeable or even matters on a turbo application

plus when i went to get tuned the first time (503 on 93pump) i fouled out 3 sets of ik24s before i ran out and the shop replaced them with cheaper ngk plugs
