so i gotta get my turbo rebuilt, its the t3/t4 60trim. Anyone know how much it costs and where to get it rebuilt or should i just buy a new turbo?

a lot cheaper then a new turbo

my precision t3/t4 .60 new is like 850-900 last time i checked, and its nothing fancy

if its a journal type it will be fairly cheap to rebuild. ball bearing turbos are a little more to rebuild, but it still should be alot cheaper than a new turbo. as long as the housings are in good shape i would go for the rebuild.

my buddy hydrolocked his motor with his turbo on. his turbo rebuild was only about 250.

any local turbo shop can rebuild it for u..or u can buy the rebuild kit and do it yourself..its not as hard as u would think

my buddy hydrolocked his motor with his turbo on. his turbo rebuild was only about 250.

off topic but how did he manage to hydrolock a motor running a turbo? where was the intake tube off the inlet housing?

lol. not really a friend. this dumb 16 year old i worked with. he went into a wash and covered the the hood in water. i asked him the same thing

inline pro says the send their turbos to like precision or something. I dont feel like snagging my turbo off the car and putting it back on, did someone have the shop do it for them? can they test at the shop to tell you if you need your turbo rebuilt.

yeah most turbo shops do everything in house..rarely will they send a turbo out

well, i see like oil on my turbo like where the return line comes off of. Also, before i had it on, it looked like the turbo had alot of black carbon build up. Also the turbo is used so i dont know how old it is. I figured since im going to inline pro to get it tuned i might as well get the turbo rebuilt.
