so i finally tried to put my sway bar on and my subframe is bent so it wouldnt go on. but i also have a hks exhaust and i dont think the sway bar clears. it seems to hit the exhaust. so i was wondering if anyone has hks exhaust and has a progress sway bar. or if anyone knows if it will fit at all thanks

I'm thinking if your subframe is bent, you might just be SOL anyway man.

And iirc, a lot of people have had issues with the Progress and HKS combo, but maybe I've got that backwards and that was a combo that was supposed to work?
Anyway, if you can't make the Progress work, you might try a CTR or late model ITR sway. Either one should do about the same job the Progress does, and they've got all the bends that are supposed to be there. That's my one complaint about the Progress bar, supposedly R&D'd for our cars, but they didn't bother to put the right bends in? WTF?

I have progress rear sway bar. I'm currently running on spoon n1 exhaust but before I also had hks hi power. What you want to do it buy a rubber hose and wrap it to your progress sway bar. If you would like I can take a picture and post it up for you if you would like.

Maybe it's cause your subframe might be Damage like you said.

Nice solution! No burning rubber smell? I was thinking of trying some header wrap material - but I have some heater hose in the garage.

Nope no burn smell. I had that rub piece for over 3 years now.

i was thinking about getting an after market exhaust and using heat wrap to dampen the vibration and protect my sway bar from heat too. would heater hose work better do you think?

The heater hose works perfect. I used a couple of hose clamps and a zip tie or two. I haven't heard a sound from it since!

I know there was an issue with people accidentally mounting the Progress rear bar upside down as well. Just a heads up to the OP.

Do what i did. Put a rubber hose around your sway bar. It could also be from your mid pipe touching metal sheild.

thanks joseph. i hope it's not the mid pipe touching the metal shield, but it's most likely the sway bar since i always hear it coming from the back.
