Is this worth it for $200 (Originally $350):

- Installation
- 21% Tint all around
- 1.5 - 2 Hour Job

What do you think? i'll take a picture of the tint comapred to a window in a second... i just need somewhere to host it.

**EDIT**
The guy said he wouldnt charge me tax either.

I've got a new tint guy, and ive even got a better deal.

for $189.44, he'll give me 35% 3M tint, any shade of limo on the back, and install it. how about that?

Shop around, I got it done for $110 or $120 (can't remember)...I just got 35% all around. Probably should have gone with something darker, since I was given the option but thought it would best to keep it legal.

You will find that it is not how much that matters, it is who does
the job. I would have liked to do my own tint job, but that would be like cutting my own hair. Best left to a seasoned professional. imho:)

Can anyone in the Bay Area recommend a good RELIABLE place to get my windows tinted?

I seriously can't believe those prices. You can get a basic 5 window tint job done for about $100. That is for window tint that has the likeliness of turning purple after a few years and start bubbling up and cuts out about 21% of heat. However, for about 30 bucks more you can get tint that cuts out a great deal more heat, 53%, and is not supposed to fade. I used to have crappy window tint on my other car and I can tell that this one does cut out a lot more heat. There is another better type of tint that cuts out a lot more heat, like around 65%. But even that is only about $160. I can't imagine paying $200 to $300 for window tinting. Thats an insane price.

Man, this is gay, everywhere I call is giving me these apparently rediculous prices.

After calling around, I've again got better deals.

Ive got one guy that'll do it all for $170, no tax, 35% front, Limo on the back.

I've got another guy that said tint starts at $100, and goes up from there. He said he'd beat $170 though.

What do oyu guys think?

pay a decent amount and get a lifetime warranty.

A good place to start is by asking where the dealership gets there's done.

That's what I did. I paid a lot more than you guys, but I also got the front included and a lifetime warranty. They guy kinda sucks, but I have to admit he's taken care of me.

They've basically retinted the entire car already AND since they melted my rear spoiler when using the heat gun they totally paid for that. I think things would have been diffrent had I gone somewhere else and they melted the rear spoiler.

I got mine for free, but the guy who did it normally charges about $150 at the dealer and $115-125 on his own.
