I think he is going for weight reduction, Dynomatt is VERY heavy, best to use LizardSkin, it is a isocyanate ceramic that is substantially lighter and far superior to Dynamatt.

I have a few spots were water somehow entered the cabin and sat under the carpet and caused some corrosion to start. I will use ChassisSaver to encapsulate the corrosion(stops it in it's tracks) and then LizardSkin followed by Μonstaliner.

give me a few days...lol i just sanded it with 600 grit yesterday. so it looks like doo doo. I might as well explain myself now... I put 3 coats of clear on. which i could have wet sanded and buffed to a shine. but i want this to look like your souls 50ft in the paint. so sand her flat, clear again.. wetsand and buff. deep slick smooth glass.

your right, its a in person color. its so hard to capture the true color. if theres no sun, its just doo doo brown, but if the sun blazin, that shit is like holding a coke bottle into the sun. tons of red and copper pearl make that color. He used a piece of old bumper, put it behind the holes, used whatever bumper filler epoxy to adhere it, filled some holes in it, then filled it with the bumper epoxy, and sanded out down smooth. Said he never had any issues.

you can do it that way too... just careful with the back. dont use a thick piece as a backer plate, the bumper wont fit back on right. been there done that.

The meet we are talking of is in MD. I will also be at the Western NY Honda-tech meet next month as well... I dunno about me and Marcs cars being the best. I havent seen the ceiling, but you def have floor space for a lift.

My dream garage is a 150x250 two story insulated steel building with a 125x75 two story 'apartment' built inside with the bottom two thirds as a complete temperature controlled engine/machine shop.

Two lifts with one garage door and one access door for the apartment. Definitely function over form... but thats me.

ahhh my ceiling is only 8 foot... down the road i might raise the rear section of the roof for a lift.... In the summer I plan on doing all the dry wall and install a pellet stove... I need to finish my work benches, and continue to settle in. I just moved in the 2nd week of December. I hope for it to start taking shape in the next few weeks.

about a week picking at it when i could.. i only welded up the holes, i didnt feather all the seams together like some people do. but i did weld up two huge holes by the headlights that nobody seems to ever do.

FUCK YEAH! Yes I did Marc. I shaved a ton of holes, including the two huge holes under each headlight, which made a huge difference in the look of the bay. Im looking into getting the subframe chromed. Well see. I still need a tranny, but once i find one, ill get it back on the street. Pick at some more details over the winter again. ohhh and I pulled the rack out, and painted it black.

I used EXTREME duty wheel rollers, made brakets to bolt them to my subframe(suspension removed), and used a flatbed tow truck(I work for a repair shop/towing company), but AAA or any knowledgable tow driver could move it. Good luck Kerby!

I should be ready to turn it over in another week or two. waiting for another axle, and a battery to show up, then I think I have everything I need to at least get it back on the street, then I can pick at it from there.

Im still running cruise, I rerouted that out near the brake res, but I might reroute it again, since the wire dosent want to sit how i want it too... they look like an eyesore right now, gotta figure something out with them.

I routed my cruise control cable through the cowl and out the the wiper motor wiring hole and just met up with the throttle cable like seen here:

Its out of the garage, running, not the best, but I got 30 mile test ride on it. My EPS is tossing 4 codes, more than likely from when I tested the harness with no motor, or steering rack in the car. Having a bitch of a time trying to clear them... I might have to suck it up and let the dealer clear them out. For the most part Its done. few more parts to add, but its on the streets.
