installed my AEM CAI but have problems with 1st gear!??

Well, i installed my intake now i everytime i put the car in first it feels like it goes into 1st but when i let the clutch out it grinds and pushes it back out. I have to PUSH its pretty hard to get it to go into 1st. Anyone know the problem?

Okay here's your problem:

The C.A.I. is rubbing up against the shifter linkage.

The solution is as follows:

1. Put your car in first gear (not running duh! :D)
2. Open the hood.
3. Loosen the clamps around the top and the bolt at the bottom.
4. Shift the CAI until it isn

hey thanx alot. it wasnt that it was the black covered wire. i kinda pushed it down a tiny bit and it works fine now. thats all it was. it was making me scared..lol thanx alot thought i appreciate it!

i had the same problem, its because you relocated your ground to your battery the same place i did and its hitting, just bend it a lil and youll be ok ;)
