terrible noise

so i have a k24a1 swap, now i have a problem, around 2200-2500 rpm this rattle noise appears. deff coming from the passenger side. it sound like a loose bolt/ chain in a chain guard almost. i only here it when it hits 2500 rpms. it idles fine, cant hear it when you rev up to it. i do have a bad mount trans mount, could that have anything to do with it? also im still untuned(kpro, race header, rbc and intake) tunning related?

It's more than likely the heat shield around the intermediate shaft. It uses isolation washers made out of steel wool, they break down after awhile and then cause all sorts of noise and rattles.

Ok thanks all Ill check those things out, it's been making this noise for about a month now, just trying to figure out if it's something g serious, like tomig chain is about to snap or something haha. Thanks again for the response hopfully it's just a shield or bolt.

i checked as much as i could but nothing seems to be loose, its weird i can only hear the sound while driving, at idle i hear nothing out of the ordinary and when i rev it up still doesnt make the sound.

Have someone rev it up to 2500 rpm while you are out looking, would be easier to pinpoint that way.

bump for some more answers....i have listened to it ad it def sounds like it is coming from the motor....i'm thinking possible chain tensioner......
